Vehicle Description
Chassis No. 10101 | 50,582 Kilometers
This is our 1967 Ferrari 330 GTC, chassis number 10101, finished in its original factory color of Oro Chiaro Metallizzato (19410 M) over Nero Franzi leather upholstery featuring a variegated mosaic of gray tones and black, with carpeting believed to be original to the car. Completed at Maranello in June 1967, this example is approximately the 298th of just 598 produced between 1966 and 1968. Originally delivered through a Ferrari dealership in Milan, Italy, chassis 10101 was desirably equipped from new with Borrani wire wheels, power windows, metric instrumentation, and factory air conditioning. The car has never undergone a comprehensive restoration and currently indicates 50,582 kilometers (approximately 31,430 miles).
Following its completion, chassis 10101 was delivered to Milan, where it was purchased by a local Italian resident. The car later made its way to the island of Sardinia before being acquired in 1977 by a Pennsylvania-based collector with a particular appreciation for Ferrari's V12-powered automobiles. After approximately 20 years of ownership, chassis 10101 was sold to another private collector, at which time the odometer reportedly indicated 43,450 kilometers. The subsequent owner would retain the car for approximately 26 years, representing an extended period of ownership spanning more than two decades.
In August 2023, chassis 10101 was offered at RM Sotheby's Monterey auction as Lot 148, where it was acquired by its current owner, a private collector in the Midwest. At the time of acquisition, this example remained largely unrestored, although the exterior had previously received paintwork in approximately five or six different areas. Following the purchase, the current owner commissioned his concours-level restoration shop to refinish the exterior in its original Oro Chiaro Metallizzato, returning the car to a consistent presentation while maintaining its factory color specification. Aside from the repaint and previously completed maintenance, chassis 10101 remains largely original.
Prior to its acquisition in 2023, this example reportedly received approximately $30,000 in mechanical and cosmetic attention beginning in 2019, as described in its previous auction catalog. Work included a suspension rebuild, replacement of the water pump and clutch master cylinder, carburetor adjustments, and attention to the factory air conditioning system. Additional work included replacement seat covers, seat belts, and the rear parcel shelf, along with polishing of the 14-inch Borrani wire wheels and installation of new period-style tires.
Since its acquisition at Monterey in 2023, chassis 10101 has traveled just 232 kilometers (approximately 144 miles) under its current ownership. With its desirable factory specifications, extended ownership history, largely unrestored character, and recent concours-level exterior refinishing, this 330 GTC represents a well-preserved example of Ferrari's celebrated V12 grand tourer.
