Since its 1991 introduction, other sports cars, such as the Dodge Viper and Chevrolet Corvette, have caught up to the "radical" NSX. The NSX put(s) out some respectable numbers out of it's 3.0l 253hp sprinted to 60 mph in 4.8 seconds and covering the quarter-mile in 13.2 at 106 mph. At the same time (01'-02') a Carrera 0 to 60 in 4.8 seconds; 13.4 seconds at 105 mph in the quarter-mile a GTS ACR model, hit 60 mph in 4.3 seconds and ran the quarter in 12.6 seconds at 114 mph while the Z06 was recording 4.0 seconds and 12.4 at 116.
This mid-engine design provides excellent weight distribution, keeping the wheels securely planted around turns. Braking is confident and secure with only 122 feet required to get from 60 to zero. It's really as comfortable and easy to drive as its distant relative, the Honda Accord. All controls are logically placed, the seating position is ideal and the Targa top is easily stored.
