This Discovery has been comprehensively reimagined with a no-expense-spared build, centered around an overhauled 5.3-liter Vortec LM4 V8 paired to a ZF 4HP24 four-speed automatic transmission. With approximately 6,000 miles since completion, this build delivers a significant increase in power and reliability, further enhanced by a Stage 1 camshaft, upgraded valve springs, and a fully refreshed engine with new internals, gaskets, and supporting components. The result is a uniquely capable and engaging driving experience—whether cruising the highway or confidently exploring off-road terrain.

This example was stripped to its foundation, with the body removed and fitted to a replacement frame sourced from Texas and refinished prior to reassembly. Performance and capability upgrades include Hooker headers, a custom-fabricated exhaust with Gibson resonator, an Ashcroft center locking differential kit with upgraded axles and CV joints, and a dual-range transfer case. The suspension has been lifted with a 3-inch Old Man Emu system, complemented by an OME steering damper and Terrafirma track rods. Braking has been improved with slotted rotors and extended-length braided stainless-steel brake hoses, while a replacement steering box and power steering pump further refine drivability.

The exterior presents in its original Java Black and is purpose-built with a Dark Crow Designs front bumper featuring a bull bar and recovery points, along with a Tactical 4x4 rear bumper equipped with a swing-away spare tire carrier and jerry can mount. Additional features include Front Runner roof cross bars, alpine windows, yellow hood lettering, and updated wiper arms. It rides on 18-inch Hurricane alloy wheels wrapped in 275/70 BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO2 tires, giving this Discovery an unmistakable stance. As expected with a vehicle of this nature, minor imperfections are present, including noted rust on the left front fender and left rear door jamb, along with some scratches and cosmetic wear.

Inside, this cabin retains its classic Land Rover character with Bahama Beige leather heated power front seats and matching trim throughout. Modern enhancements include an UltraGauge display, touchscreen Jensen head unit, and a RAM Mounts phone holder. Additional amenities include third-row seating, automatic climate control, and a replacement black headliner. Areas of wear are present consistent with use, including the driver’s door panel and various interior trim items, and the factory carpeting has been removed to better suit its utilitarian purpose.
